A group of "part-time mothers" are online for ectopic pregnancy with baby.
CCTV News:On December 16th, Ms. Huang from Nanning, Guangxi, went to Guangxi Hospital for Nationalities with her 2-year-old son because of unbearable abdominal pain. Due to her serious condition, Ms. Huang was told that she needed immediate surgery. On the one hand, the illness could not be delayed, and on the other hand, the son was left unattended. When Ms. Huang had a hard time making a choice, the nurses in the hospital became "part-time mothers" to solve Ms. Huang’s problem.
As can be seen from the monitoring, from 12: 30 noon on December 16 to 2: 00 pm, the nurses continued to "relay" the children. They took turns holding their children and "circled" at the nurse station. At this time, the child’s mother is undergoing surgery.
Zhang Hongdan, Head Nurse of Gynecology Department of Guangxi Hospital for Nationalities:At that time, she (Ms. Huang) was pale and had no strength to talk to us. She immediately informed the doctor to check on the patient, and (the doctor) said that there might be intra-abdominal bleeding.
After examination, Ms. Huang was diagnosed as ectopic pregnancy, accompanied by abdominal bleeding of about 1000 ml, and needed emergency surgery, otherwise there would be the risk of shock or even death. After learning about the illness, Ms. Huang is still hesitating whether to have surgery.
Patient Ms. Huang:Because I was afraid that (the child) would cry, I was afraid that he would have no one to help. Because my family lived far away, I didn’t have time to (come over), and the child always followed me, and no one helped me. I was afraid that he would not be with others.
Zhang Hongdan, Head Nurse of Gynecology Department of Guangxi Hospital for Nationalities:The child was very resistant to us touching his mother. He was also very nervous and cried. At that time, his mother’s situation was that she was looking at the child and her abdominal pain was unbearable. I didn’t know what to do. We immediately picked up the child and comforted her, saying that we are taking care of the child now, so you can treat it first.
Hearing the comfort of the nurses, Ms. Huang finally agreed to undergo surgery. During the operation, the nurses kept coaxing Ms. Huang’s son until the child fell asleep.
Patient Ms. Huang:After (my operation) came out, he stopped crying. Thank them very much.
Zhang Hongdan, Head Nurse of Gynecology Department of Guangxi Hospital for Nationalities:There are so many medical staff here, and we medical staff will be duty-bound to shoulder this responsibility whenever we meet anyone who sees this situation.
