China’s international export bandwidth is 8,826,302Mbps, with a half-year growth rate of 20.6%. Internet users have faster Internet access, better quality of cross-border roaming calls and better network quality. At the same time, mobile Internet access traffic and the number of apps both achieved significant growth in the first half of 2018.

The utilization rate of Internet wealth management in China increased from 16.7% at the end of 2017 to 21.0% in June 2018, and the number of Internet wealth management users increased by 39.74 million, with a half-year growth rate of 30.9%. The scale of Internet wealth management users in China continues to expand, and netizens’ wealth management habits are gradually cultivated. The asset management business breaks the rigid redemption to effectively reduce the business risks of financial institutions and reduce regulatory arbitrage. At the same time, it further promotes institutions to actively improve their management capabilities and accelerate the transformation of Internet capital-guaranteed wealth management products into net-worth wealth management products. As of June 2018, online shopping users and users who use online payment accounted for 71.0% of the total netizens in China, and online shopping and Internet payment have become applications with a high proportion of netizens. On the one hand, e-commerce, social applications and digital content are integrated with each other, and the social e-commerce model has expanded e-commerce business. On this basis, e-commerce has maintained a stable development as a whole, playing an important role in coordinating supply-side structural reforms, stimulating employment, and helping rural revitalization; On the other hand, the vast majority of payment institutions are connected to the Internet, which improves the transparency of funds and the security of online payment, and the proportion of mobile payment users reaches 71.9%.
Internet entertainment has developed healthily, and short video applications have risen rapidly.
In the first half of 2018, the demand for online entertainment market was strong, and corresponding policies were introduced to encourage and guide the healthy development of Internet entertainment ecology. Original works of online music have been supported, users of online literature have diversified reading methods, and the trend of diversification of online game types and quality of game content is obvious. Short video applications have risen rapidly, and 74.1% of netizens use short video applications to meet the fragmented entertainment needs. At the same time, the content of online culture and entertainment has been further standardized, the copyright environment of online music and literature has been gradually improved, the illegal content in online games has been rectified, the video industry has built a content-centered ecosystem, and the live broadcast platform has entered a stage of refined operation.
Shared travel users grew rapidly and market resources were further integrated.
In the first half of 2018, 30.6%, 43.2% and 37.3% netizens used bike-sharing, reserved taxis and reserved special cars/express trains respectively, and the number of users increased by 11.0%, 20.8% and 26.5% respectively compared with the end of 2017. The bike-sharing market has returned to the multi-strong competition pattern from the top two at the end of 2017. Bicycle companies have tried to expand their revenue sources in various ways and started to provide deposit-free services to avoid risks. Cross-border integration has occurred in the network car industry, and platform enterprises have made a comprehensive layout around the field of travel services, starting from a single business to a platform-based ecological expansion.
Nearly 60% of netizens use online government services, and the intensive process of government websites has accelerated.
As of June 2018, the number of online government service users in China reached 470 million, accounting for 58.6% of the total netizens, and 42.1% of netizens obtained government services through Alipay or WeChat city service platform. First of all, the government actively introduced policies to promote the online development of government affairs, break through information barriers, build an integrated online service platform for the whole process, and build a service-oriented government that the people are satisfied with; Secondly, the degree of intensification of government websites at all levels has improved significantly, with a total of 19,868 government websites nationwide, a decrease of 70.1% compared with the first census in 2015; Finally, party and government organs and mass organizations at all levels actively use Weibo, WeChat, client and other new media to release government information, respond to social concerns, promote collaborative governance, and constantly improve the level of local government information disclosure and online service.
